This event aims to:
  • Give an overview of the state of the region with a specific focus on youth unemployment.
  • Signpost you to the array of initiatives available and hear ‘real life’ evidence of the impact these can make.
  • Share innovative approaches to working in partnership to tackle worklessness.
  • Outline key messages and best practice from authorities around developing Apprenticeships from building a business case, promotion and recruitment to ensuring an apprentice meets the needs of the organisation.
  • Raise awareness of utilising Apprenticeships in the procurement process.
  • Promotion of the West Midlands Procurement Framework for Employment and Skills.

Target audience

The event is aimed at officers and elected members in the public sector who lead and/or support the worklessness agenda in your organisation with specific focus around supporting youth unemployment.
