In terms of adult services there is a strong Joint Improvement Partnership which has strong support from all of the region’s Directors of Adult Social Care. There is an extensive programme of highly innovative improvement and efficiency support being developed through a strong collaborative approach amongst the 14 adult social care authorities.

Key shared collaborative improvement priorities include:
  • transformation;
  • personalisation;
  • telecare;
  • re-ablement;
  • commissioning;
  • workforce development, etc.
Bespoke support to authorities with special needs has also been brokered under the auspices of the JIP. The JIP meets on a quarterly basis and terms of reference can be found here.
