                                            Sue Banks

Sue has over 27 years' experience of working in the public sector. During her time in local government, Sue worked in a range of front line and corporate management roles, including work with Central Government. In 2008 Sue joined Improvement & Efficiency West Midlands and became Director in 2011.

Sue brings high levels of political awareness and an ability to build strong working relationships and collaboration across national, regional and local alliances, coupled with a contemporary and deep understanding of the key challenges facing public services and the transformative responses required. Sue is a qualified Executive Coach and Mentor and also holds an MBA.

                                          

                                             Ged Bowles

Originally trained as a civil engineer, Ged has over 35 years of work experience in a mix of public and private sector environments.  His career has developed through a range of design, programme management and senior regeneration roles before joining IEWM in 2006. 

Ged is passionate about leadership, cultural and transformational change, improvement activity and doing what's right for our 'customers' – ultimately the general public and users of public services, by focusing on breaking down the barriers that prevent cross boundary collaboration between organisations.

                                         

                                           Tony Ashfield

Tony’s knowledge of contract management, tendering and estimating, financial management, commissioning and project/programme management have been developed over a career spanning the private and public sectors.

Prior to joining the public sector in 1999, Tony was both a contracts manager and estimator for major building and automotive projects including parts of New Street Station, Land Rover Solihull and automotive sites in China and South Africa. His work in the public sector has been equally challenging, working with teams delivering Best Value, Comprehensive Performance Assessments, National Consultancy Frameworks and facilitating the delivery of over £400million efficiencies by authorities in the West Midlands via the IEWM programme.

                                        

                                           Pete Jackson
                      Programme Manager - Adult Social Care

Pete is a highly experienced system leader with proven track record of service transformation and delivery of improvement. He has current knowledge of local, regional and national health and adult social care structures and is familiar with public sector stakeholder groups specifically in the West Midlands.

Pete brings a strategic and current perspective to adult social care, health partnerships, network building and is able to identify opportunities around peer approaches to sector led improvement. His specialties include, sector led improvement, adult social care, community development, social media, sector engagement and diversity.

                                       

                                       Shelley Madley

Shelley has worked as a management professional for over 35 years.  With extensive experience in all aspects of business operations including marketing/events management for both the public and private sectors including IT, Home Shopping, Market Research and Social Housing; Shelley adopts a continuous improvement approach to achieve an excellent customer experience.
 
Shelley has developed campaigns, methodologies and processes that are user-friendly, compliant with legislation and regulation, introduced more inclusive, effective and sustainable working practices that informed and directed strategic business decisions. Shelley brings a versatile and pragmatic approach; strong communication and interpersonal skills; successfully delivering a professional and credible service.
